I am a broadly trained Human Geographer with interests in urban, economic, and political geographies, as well as cultural landscapes. I'm American, but work in Australia, and have done research in Latin America and Africa, so my regional interests are quite diverse. At the moment, I'm working on a few different projects, including one on offshore services in Hong Kong with Simon Zhao of HKU, as well as a GaWC-style network analysis of the geometric properties of the Australian corporate world. My work generally integrates World Systems (e.g. Braudelian) and Political Economy perspectives with nuanced case studies focusing on local cases and examples of macro-scale change.
